Attorney J. Samuel Worley specializes in Matrimonial and Family Law, Secretary of State Administrative Hearings, and criminal / traffic defense.  Prior to joining Gottreich Grace & Thompson he was the owner of the Law Offices of J. Samuel Worley, LLC where he specialized for approximately ten years in Matrimonial and Family law, DUI defense, Secretary of State hearings, and criminal defense.  Prior to becoming a private attorney, Mr. Worley worked as a Cook County Assistant State’s Attorney from 2004 through 2009 prosecuting child support, traffic/DUI, and criminal cases on the misdemeanor and felony levels.  As an Assistant State’s Attorney, Mr. Worley prosecuted hundreds of DUI, misdemeanor and felony cases.  With over twenty years of combined experience, Mr. Worley will provide you with superior representation at a competitive price.

Mr. Worley earned his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Tennessee in 1991 and his Masters of Science in Social Work from the University of Tennessee in 1995.  Mr. Worley worked for almost a decade as a therapist and program director in the areas of violence prevention, conflict resolution and domestic and family violence in Nashville, TN before moving to Chicago in 2001 to attend law school.    Mr. Worley earned his law degree from the John Marshall Law School and was admitted to the Illinois Bar in 2004.  While in law school, Mr. Worley was the runner-up out of 290 participants in the school’s oral argument and legal writing competition and he received a scholarship for being on the Moot Court Executive Board.  He also represented John Marshall in two National Moot Court competitions, finishing as a semi-finalist in the Criminal Law competition in Buffalo, NY.
